Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor director producer, and vocalist. She's a beautiful, smart actress who is a source of inspiration for many Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. After appearing in a number of episodes in popular TV shows, she became famous when she was a part of The Ally McBeal legal comedy where she was Ling Woo. She translated her sudden fame into major screen roles in films like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Her next performance was a dazzling performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii as Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. She also played leading roles in the failures of box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing famous characters in animated films, such for Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen roles was not able to achieve popularity. Southland's critically acclaimed police series, Southland and a recurring character helped Liu to regain her status role as an actress. Liu chooses her roles with utmost care so that she does not get typecast in a competitive industry. She has accepted her Chinese background, but doesn't let it hinder her creative abilities.
